25 poetry prompts to kick start your summer writing in June

My monthly 25 poetry prompts for poets and writers have arrived to kick start your summer writing this June. These prompts are for poets or writers from all levels.

Hi everyone!

Even though I am a few days late, I welcome June’s arrival with an open heart. May has been a month filled with rest and soaking up the inspiration that surrounds me. Even though I was not creating every day, I made time to reflect on my creative journey and how I am able to nourish it in moments of overwhelm. We often forget that rest is part of the creative journey. It is then that we soak up the light of the world so we can let it shine for others through our creative arts.

Writing for me is therapeutic. It gives me a voice for all those moments in my life where I felt muted and unheard. Equally, it is my way of reaching out to other souls and letting them know that they are not alone in this life. Sharing our stories, reflections, poems, and songs has always been the pure human connection our hearts seek in this life. We crave those moments of unseen connection through our words.

If you are looking for some writing inspiration this June, perhaps these poetry prompts might help inspire your next poem. For June, I have chosen 25 poetry prompts. These prompts are designed to stretch your imagination and invite you to explore new perspectives. I encourage you to use them flexibly. Feel free to adapt, twist, and follow them with curiosity wherever they may lead.
