October comes at the start of autumn. Slipping it from September’s fingertips and embracing it fully in its seasonal arms. Nature is preparing itself for one last transformation this year before bravely baring itself to the world again. A transformation equally inspiring as spring, where growth will meet us again after we learn to let go. Letting go is still an important part of the growth journey. We are still expanding when we make space for new things to grow in a different season. 

There is a quiet sense of sorrow offering me comfort this month. The bending of the branches, the falling of the leaves, the trees swaying in the golden light. All this beauty exists within an exhale after months of growth and thriving. Now there is finally time to rest and sit with ourselves so we can see what we can shed from our own branches. Every autumn, I feel this massive weight fall from my shoulders whenever I look towards the trees. A liberation of the soul. A comfort only autumn can offer me.
