10 Poetry prompts to inspire your next poem this September
September is my favorite month of the year because there is this soft sense of magic in the air. A gilded bridge that sits between summer and autumn. The best way to notice it is by how the light changes this month. A soft golden glow everywhere it dares to reach. Autumn already exists in those last days of summer, and now it is here to stay until winter arrives.
September invites us to follow in its light. To soften our hearts and be golden wherever we dare to reach. For me, this is the season when I feel most called to write because there is inspiration everywhere we look. All we have to do is notice the shift, not only happening around us but also within.
September also happens to be my birthday month (now 40 years young) and the month where I felt brave enough to share my poetry on social media for the first time. A month truly filled with special moments.
But because of new changes in my life that asked for my attention, I haven’t had much time to post my monthly prompts. But with all new changes, we change alongside them until we find a new rhythm again. So before September ends, I still wanted to share 10 inspirational poetry prompts for you to play and experiment with. I encourage you to adapt, twist, and follow these prompts with curiosity.
